Bruce Boyd

Bruce Boyd is the Executive Director of the Morrison Family Foundation. The Foundation supports champions of environmental justice who ensure everyone, regardless of race, identity, or community, has the opportunity to experience the mental and physical health benefits of being outdoors. Prior to joining the Foundation, Bruce was a Principal and Managing Director at Arabella Advisors, an award-winning consulting firm that enables clients across the philanthropic sector to tackle society’s biggest challenges more efficiently, effectively, and equitably.  Bruce began his career as a lawyer and left the law to purchase a manufacturing company out of bankruptcy.  Following the sale of the company, Bruce served as a Senior Manager at The Nature Conservancy where he led the Illinois Program, the Upper Mississippi River Project, and the four-continent Great Rivers Partnership.

Bruce serves on the board of the Windward Fund—a 501(c)(3) environment-focused fiscal sponsor and the grant-making intermediary; the Lake County Community Foundation – the community foundation in the county where he lives; Rare — an international nonprofit focused on behavior change and the environment; and Schreiber Philanthropy.

Bruce graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College, earned his law degree from the University of Chicago, and studied business at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. Bruce has two grown children and lives near Chicago with his wife, Beth.
